Crabtree Missing In Action

Published by dwighthicks at 3:14 pm under Uncategorized Edit This

What’s up with Michael Crabtree?  Here is a perfect example a young man being misguided.  I’m not sure who his agent is but it really doesn’t matter.  Whoever he is, he is not acting in Mr. Crabtree best interests.  Consider this:

1) Summer camp is a place to learn offensive and defensive schemes that will be utilized during the year based on the opponents a team will be facing.  This is one of the problems with the current draft sytem of the NFL.  First round draft choices sitting out summer camp for the biggest contracts end up hurting themselves, the team and diluting the game.  Due to the fact that Crabtree missed summer camp he has lost opportunities to help his team.

2) Although Crabtree was a first round pick, he has not played a down in the NFL so, he’s really is an unproven player.  The only way that he can prove himself is to get on the playing field and show us what he can do.

My advice to Mr. Crabtree is to sign a contract, get on the field and play; if you’re productive, I trust you will be compensated fairly.
